Regional Controlling Analyst

The Regional Controlling Analyst role is an integral member of the finance community, providing impact as a business partner to demonstrate insight through financial analysis techniques, tools and concepts and to provide practical counsel to drive business results.

What does the role involve?
As Regional Controlling analyst, you will bring transparency on the value creation of various functions. You will collaborate with various stakeholders across the entire business, including the organization’s regional team and local leadership team. You will support standardization, automation and process improvement through the organization and contribute to local and global projects to support Finance or the market’s long-term strategy implementation. Together with your manager you drive the performance management process covering the rolling forecasting and strategic investment processes.
From an operational perspective, you will work on the controlling part of the month end closing activities, such as provide key reports to the management, calculate and maintain variable compensation models and accruals, and provide support to the business on related queries. You will support the elaboration of Forecasts, Budgets, Long Range Plans and P&L statements. You will also support your local team with the annual audit and production of financial statements as required. You will fully understand Hilti’s business model and its financial impacts to support the management in decision making to drive results.

What you need is:
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration; Master’s preferred (not mandatory)
- Minimum three (3) years of experience in the Finance department, better if international and/or within a Multinational context
- Excellent analytical, numerical and financial analysis skills with ability to work on complex data bases
- Good knowledge of financial accounting topics including month end closing, Profit & Loss Statement (P&L), Balance Sheet, and Accounting
- Advanced proficiency in Excel
- Knowledge of SAP/BI/Hyperion preferred (not mandatory)
- Advanced level of Spanish & English
- Demonstrated leadership in defining cross functional requirements and leading projects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Team player with openness and empathy
- Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines, with resilience and energy
- International mobility
